This is a common rumor…but now it’s REALLY picking up steam!
On the heels of Carrie’s incredibly moving performance of “How Great Thou Art” last weekend on American Idol, the groundswell has picked up steam to have her perform at halftime on next year’s Super Bowl.
Her fans, the “Care Bears”, have been trying to make this happen before. Back in February they started a petition that had already garnered nearly 50,000 signatures. But after Carrie’s home run of a performance Easter weekend that number has now quadrupled.
Will the NFL take notice of more than 200 thousand (and climbing) autographs? Time will tell!
