Lot of talk recently about what state best represents the American people, so Wallet Hub sent their crack research team out to find the answer.

And they came back with Illinois.

I know, right? Kid is my spirit animal right now.

Kansas was ranked 16th, which isn’t horrible, but still. When you think “amber waves of grain”, you think Kansas. C’mon, Wallet Hub, get it together.

Researchers looked at 30 categories, including age, diversity, income, and unemployment. They did not go human-to-cow ratio, which would have put us over the top, I assume.
