The first Pony Express riders left St. Joseph, Missouri, bound for Sacramento, California!
The trip across took about 10 days. While the Pony Express only lasted about a year and a half, it was sparked a revolution in transportation.
1882
Outlaw Jesse James was shot in the back and killed by the coward Robert Ford for a $5,000 reward.
Afterwards, there were several different conspiracy theories over whether Jesse James had actually been killed or not
