A 25-year-old London taxi driver named George Smith becomes the first person ever arrested for drunk driving after slamming his cab into a building

He pled guilty and was fined 25 shillings

It was the first world’s first DUI

1955

Gunsmoke debuted on CBS

Starring James Arness as Marshal Matt Dillon, Gunsmoke went on to become the longest-running (20 years) series on television

1990

Will Smith made his TV debut on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

One of the best shows EVER! 

1991

Garth Brooks released his third studio album, Ropin’ the Wind

Ropin’ the Wind was Garth’s first album to debut at #1 the Billboard 200 chart and the Top Country Albums chart

It spent a combined 18 weeks at the top of the charts

and then lastly…

Brooks & Dunn had the #1 song in the land with Brand New Man

Brand New Man was Brooks & Dunn’s first number one single!
