Super Bowl weekend is finally here and, with it, the first big eating holiday of the year.

Which, when you think about, is weird, since Christmas was just over a month ago. But, technically, this is 2021. Though it kind of feels like 2020 2: Freddy’s Revenge.

A survey was recently released showing what people plan on eating during the Chiefs win on Sunday. Frito-Lay  is estimating that even more people will be snacking during the game than normal this year, seeing as large gatherings are still discouraged and more people will just be watching at home.

“Super Bowl is as much about enjoying a fun, shared national moment with our favorite foods and beverages as it is about the football game,” said Mike Del Pozzo, Chief Customer Officer, Frito-Lay North America. “Americans continue to look for familiarity and comfort in their favorite foods as the pandemic has continued, and we expect that trend to remain in the weeks leading up to game day as 80 percent of adults think Super Bowl isn’t complete without snacks and dips.”

The top 10 foods are:

  1. Chips and dip
  2. Wings
  3. Pizza
  4. Nachos
  5. Cheese and crackers
  6. burgers or sliders
  7. Cookies
  8. Ice cream
  9. Mozzarella sticks
  10. Tacos

I’m a little surprised, honestly, that the list was paint by the numbers. Since it’s the internet, I expected something weird to be in the top 10, like squid.

Top drinks, by the way, include soda, beer, iced tea, wine, and whiskey.
