Billboard released it’s list of the top selling country albums of 2020, and the top 10 only included ONE release from this calendar year.

Congratulations, Sam Hunt, you’re a unicorn.

Credit to The Boot for noticing this. Hunt’s Southside is the only release from 2020 to make the top 10, with one of the albums listed going back to 2015!

Y’all really like Chris Stapleton’s Traveller.

Other notes: Luke Combs takes the top TWO spots. Maren Morris has the only female album in the top 10. Also, the full list of 75 has some…weirdness. Taylor Swift’s Red is 25, which I suppose is technically country. But the Eagles Hotel California? BURL IVES’ RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER?!?!? Seriously, Billboard? Like, I love Rudolph, but I don’t think that’s country. Did you let the interns put the list together?

All 75 albums can be found with the first link above.

Here’s the Top 10 (With the year the album came out in parenthesis):

  1. What You See Is What You Get – Luke Combs (2019)
  2. This One’s For You – Luke Combs (2017)
  3. If I Know Me – Morgan Wallen (2018)
  4. Fully Loaded: God’s Country – Blake Shelton (AKA Blake Shelton’s Contractually Obligated Album) (2019)
  5. Traveller – Chris Stapleton (2015)
  6. 9 – Jason Aldean (2019)
  7. Girl – Maren Morris (2019)
  8. Dan + Shay – Dan + Shay (2018)
  9. Experiment – Kane Brown (2018)
  10. Southside – Sam Hunt (2020)
