Love is in the air.

Actually, that’s potential frostbite, but Valentine’s Day is Sunday and we have proof that if you want to worm your way into someone’s heart, start with their stomach.

A recent survey financed by Perdue looked at what we as Americans look for in our significant others.

That’s Perdue the Agribusiness company, not Purdue University, home of the Boilermakers.

According to the results, 72 percent of respondents said they’d be more interested in a SO who loved to cook, with another 61 percent who said they consider it a turn-on if they can cook well.

“Finding the right partner may come with its challenges, but cooking shouldn’t be one of them,” said Chef Chris Moyer, CEC, CRC, Corporate Executive Chef for Perdue Farms. “Cooking with a simple, versatile ingredient like chicken offers endless recipes — from easy chicken fried rice to buttermilk fried chicken — that are sure to impress.”
