Urban Outfitters is being slammed for asking employees to work for free on weekends.The store has seen a big increase in orders recently, and to help keep up with the orders they sent out an email asking salaried employees to work on the weekends for free.
They called the unpaid shifts as a “team-building activity” and told the workers they would get a free lunch.Several people took to Twitter to criticize the store for the move with one user calling the company’s executives scumbags.
But the company said they received a tremendous response from employees who were eager to help out.
