The guitar Alan Jackson played on the 2001 CMA Awards is featured in “Louder Than Music:  Rock, Power & Politics,” an exhibit that chronicles times when music has intersected with major events in American history: in this case, the terror attacks of 9/11. The display also includes Alan’s handwritten lyrics to “Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning),” the song he performed on that CMA telecast, which was inspired by 9/11.

Alan is in some pretty stellar company — John LennonBob DylanAretha FranklinStevie Wonder and Bruce Springsteen are included as well. The exhibits run through November 27 in Cleveland, Ohio, when it will be packed up and move to The Newseum in Washington, DC.
