Photo by Alli Harvey/WireImageAXS TV will commemorate the passing of Merle Haggard this weekend, re-airing two specials that pay tribute to the “Poet of the Common Man.”
The cable network will show the episode of Dan Rather’s The Big Interview featuring the Hag on Friday at 11:30 a.m. ET, immediately followed by the concert film Merle Haggard– Live at Billy Bob’s Texas at 12:30 p.m. You’ll have another chance to see both shows on Saturday starting at 9 a.m. ET.
The one hour interview shot at North Carolina’s Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts originally aired in September of 2013. You’ll have one more opportunity to see it Sunday at 8 a.m. ET.
