Image Courtesy Arista NashvilleBrad Paisley always thinks of the visuals his words will create in the listeners’ minds when he’s writing hit songs like his latest offering, “Perfect Storm.”

Brad says, “My idea of country music is always about the pictures it paints for you. I don’t like songs that don’t give me images in my mind.”

That approach can be found in rock and pop music as well, even if the meaning of the lyrics isn’t always clear. Brad points to The Eagles‘ classic “Hotel California” as an example.

“I don’t know totally what that’s about, but you know, ‘On a dark desert highway,’ you know, it’s just…you see everything they’re sayin’,” Brad explains.

“Perfect Storm” is the latest single from Brad’s current album, Moonshine in the Trunk, available now.
