Jessie Schmidt/Schmidt RelationsCarrie Underwood will kick off an arena tour in January, and for the first time, she’ll be playing “in the round.”
During the Storyteller Tour: Stories in the Round, the stage will be in the middle of the arena floor, allowing a more intimate feel, and affording every fan a great view.
Special guests joining Carrie for the trek include Easton Corbin and the Swon Brothers. Tickets go on sale Friday, November 6 at 10 a.m. local time via AEGLive.com. If you buy Carrie’s new album Storyteller via her online store, though, you’ll get a code for early access to tour tickets.
In a statement, Carrie says, ““I can’t wait to play new music from Storyteller for the fans. I am so blessed to have this career and get to do to the things I do, but there is nothing like that moment when I get to step onto the stage to sing and all the fans are singing along with me.”
A dollar from every ticket sold to the new tour will go to the C.A.T.S. Foundation, which supports education and literacy programs in Carrie’s hometown of Checotah, Oklahoma.
