St. Jude Children’s Research HospitalIf you pay attention to social media, you’ve probably spotted your favorite country stars sporting “This Shirt Saves Lives” tees. This weekend, the new campaign came to life, as a who’s who of country artists descended on Memphis for the 29th annual Country Cares for St. Jude Seminar.

On Friday, Russell Dickerson, Devin DawsonJordan DavisChase RiceJerrod NiemannDrake WhiteTrent HarmonDanielle BradberyAshley McBryde and Cam were just a few of the folks who took time to play Uno, Candyland, and Guitar Hero with patients, and also celebrate birthdays with cake, candles, and a song.

As St. Jude works to cure childhood cancer, Cam runs down the reasons she’s happy to help.

“The fact that people don’t have to pay,” the “Burning House” hitmaker explains, “the fact that their families can come and they don’t have to pay for housing. The fact that these medicines are developed in-house… It’s a really incredibly amazing incubator for hope,” she says, summing it all up.

“All on Me” singer Devin Dawson is equally impressed.

“The thing that struck me the most when I first came here was that St. Jude takes care of the whole family unit,” he points out. “It’s not just the child… You know you like to say ‘St. Jude takes care of everything you can think of.’ But they also take care of the things that you don’t think of. Whether it’s dentists, or whether it’s hotels — whatever it is, all the little things that you can’t even think of that make it possible to treat a child.”
