Warner Music NashvilleIf you’re Obsessed with Dan+Shay, there’s good news– you won’t have to wait too much longer for their sophomore album. It’s set to be released in a little more than a month, on June 3.
Fans who pre-order the project now will instantly get two tracks, the top-25 lead single, “From the Ground Up,” as well as the new song, “Already Ready.” You can also check out the new music video for the song, which was filmed at a recent house party in Nashville, almost entirely in one shot.
For Obsessed, audiophile Dan Smyers not only wrote and sang, but also put on his producer’s hat, along with collaborator Scott Hendricks.
“There are still nights when I spend hours online or digging through stacks of albums to study the album liner notes,” he confesses. “There were so many moments when we had these amazing musicians in the studio and I would find myself so immersed in the note or the moment that I would honestly find my fingers on autopilot recording the takes without me even remembering… ” he recalls.
