Capitol NashvilleIf you couldn’t get enough of Dierks Bentley’s “Drunk on a Plane” video, you’re in luck. The new treatment for “Somewhere on a Beach” picks up where the one for his high-flying 2014 hit left off. The video, shot in the streets and on the beach in Puerto Morelos, Mexico, stars the big guy seated across the aisle from the unhappy bachelor in “Drunk on a Plane.”

“It took three days to shoot this video,” Dierks says. “We got so much great stuff all over this tiny little Mexican village outside of Cancun. It kills me to think about all the funny moments that we couldn’t fit into this edit. Our lead character Josh is an old friend that some fans may recognize. He had us doubled over laughing on the set the whole time… really funny dude and incredible actor. I hope everyone digs our take on this story, which may be a little unexpected.”

Dierks and director Wes Edwards have quite a track record. Their earlier collaboration on “Drunk on a Plane” brought home both the CMA and ACM trophies for Video of the Year.

“Somewhere on a Beach” is both the lead single from Dierks’ forthcoming album BLACK and the fastest-rising one of his career, cracking the top 20 in just four weeks. You can check out the new video on YouTube now, as well as a behind-the-scenes clip on the website Break.
