Image Courtesy Capitol NashvilleEric Church‘s album, The Outsiders, has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America for reaching the one-million sales mark. The project debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 album chart in February with more than 288,000 copies sold in the first week. That’s the fourth highest debut of any genre this year behind only Taylor Swift, One Direction and Coldplay, respectively.

Eric picked up four Grammy nominations this month thanks to The Outsiders and the hit single from the album, “Give Me Back My Hometown.” The trophies will be handed out February 8, 2015 in Los Angeles.
