Image Courtesy CMAGarth Brooks has already received what seems like enough trophies to fill a warehouse during his career, but he’s adding a pretty impressive honor to the collection this fall. ASCAP has announced Garth is one of the five artists receiving their once-in-a-century Centennial Awards November 17 at a gala at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City.

The other honorees are folk star Joan Baez, rock legend Billy Joel, musical theater icon Stephen Sondheim and the great Stevie Wonder. The recipients are described as “a select group of American music icons in recognition of their incomparable accomplishments in their respective music genres and beyond.”
