Greenroom PRJason Aldean is simultaneously mapping out what’s ahead in 2016 and giving fans a first look at the video for the song that inspired him. The 27-date trek takes its name from his current hit, “Gonna Know We Were Here.”
“This song pretty much sums up how I feel like me and my fans live our lives. That same excitement is what we feel out there on the road every night, which made it a great name for next year’s tour,” he says.
The video is especially meaningful to Jason, since it was shot during homecoming week at his alma mater, Windsor Academy. “It was pretty cool that we could bring that vibe to the music video too by shooting it back in Macon with a ton of people from my hometown. Getting back there and on that high school football field really reminded me of that rush of just living life without any regrets,” he reflects.
Thomas Rhett and A Thousand Horses will be Jason’s special guests on the U.S. dates of the We Were Here tour, with three dates in Australia set for March. Tickets go on sale next Friday.
Next weekend, Jason wraps up this year’s Burn It Down dates in West Palm Beach, Florida, donating part of the show’s proceeds to breast cancer research.
