Sandbox EntertainmentKacey Musgraves is giving more than $100,000 back to her hometown, after tallying the proceeds from her show last month in Mineola, Texas. $65,000 will go to help music and arts programs in the local Wood County Public Schools, while $40,000 will pay for improvements at the Mineola Nature Preserve. More than 4,000 fans attended Kacey’s Hometown Hang, including 200 people who volunteered.

The three-time nominee will also perform at next Wednesday’s CMA Awards, which air live at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Having recently wrapped the U.S. leg of her Country & Western Rhinestone Revue, Kacey takes the tour to Europe in November.
