CMA/Image Group LAKeith Urban officially pulls ahead of Garth Brooks this week, when it comes to number-one singles on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart. “Break on Me” is the Australian superstar’s nineteenth chart topper on the ranking, putting him at number eight on the list of artists with the most number ones — the spot Garth previously held. The second single from Keith’s forthcoming ripCORD album also happens to be his twentieth number one on the Mediabase tally.

“Music for me has always been about expression and connection. So to have all of these songs connect in the way they have hits me on so many different levels,” Keith reflects. “‘Break On Me’ holds a very special place in my heart for personal reasons, and for the incredible timing of it hitting number one almost to the day of my very first number one! Truly divine,” he adds.

His third career single, “But for the Grace of God,” topped the charts on February 24, 2001, nearly fifteen years prior to his current single.
