Image Courtesy Dot RecordsMaddie & Tae scored a #1 hit with their debut single, “Girl in a Country Song,” but they’re looking forward to even bigger things as their second single, “Fly,” climbs the country chart. In an interview with All Access, the duo’s Maddie Marlow says they’re looking to build a career that stands the test of time.
“I’d love for us to be on our way to having a career like Reba McEntire or Shania Twain,” Maddie says when asked where she sees the duo in five years. “To be Entertainer of the Year, to have headlined big tours, and really be women when we’re doing it. Especially for our music to mean as much as theirs does to their fans!”
Maddie & Tae are on the bill for Lee Brice‘s Tuesday night show at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.
