Image Courtesy Sony Music NashvilleMiranda Lambert has performed on big shows like the Grammy Awards and the ACM Awards many times in the past, but she remains thankful anytime she gets a slot on those big TV broadcasts.

She tells The Birmingham News, “I worked very hard to be there, and I want to enjoy every moment.”

Singing on television is a different animal from performing the same song during her concerts, though.

“There’s always an edit in the song, to fit the timeframe they have available [on the show],” Miranda explains. “On the road, I have all the freedom in the world, to do whatever I want with the song and the arrangement.”

While Miranda sometimes watches her TV performances to see what she can improve on, she admits, “I try not to see everything I’m on. I don’t think it’s healthy. You know, we judge ourselves.”

Miranda will perform on the 50th Annual ACM Awards airing live Sunday, April 19 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. She’s the lead nominee with eight nods, including Entertainer of the Year and Album for the Year for Platinum.
