RhinoYou’ll have to wait until fall to hear The Complete Trio Collection, but you can check out the first never-before-heard outtake from Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt on YouTube now.
“Do I Ever Cross Your Mind” appeared on 1999’s second full-length album from the threesome, with Emmylou singing lead on a laid-back version of the Dolly-penned tune. The new alternate take from 1994 features Dolly out front, in a more upbeat version that’s truer to the one the superstar has sung on television and in concert through the years.
This week, Dolly revealed she expects she’ll perform some of the Trio songs on her solo Pure & Simple tour across the U.S. and Canada this summer. The Complete Trio Collection comes out September 9.
