Gaither Music GroupRory Feek tells Entertainment Tonight he doesn’t plan to continue with his music career without his wife Joey by his side.  Currently, the Grammy nominees are living out what are likely to be their final days together, as Joey battles stage 4 cervical cancer.

“This is the last record that Joey and I will ever get to make and the last songs we’ll ever get to sing together,” he says of their latest project, Hymns That Are Important to Us. “I have no desire to go on singing or performing without her.”

The two came together in 2008 on CMT’s reality competition Can You Duet, and took home the Academy of Country Music Award for Top New Vocal Duo the following year. They’re up for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for their remake of the Emmylou Harris/Don Williams hit “If I Needed You” at the February 15 Grammys.

Joey+Rory‘s new album, recorded while she was undergoing cancer treatment last year, will be available February 12 exclusively at Cracker Barrel.
