Demi Lovato, Usher, Andra Day, Yolanda Adams, Sam Moore and Empire’s Jussie Smollett are just some of the artists who’ll offer their takes on the songs of Ray Charles, who also became known for his interpretations of country classics.

Smithsonian Salutes Ray Charles:  In Performance at the White House premieres Friday night at 9 p.m. ET nationwide on PBS and TV One.
