During the hour-long event, The Band Perry’s Reid, Neil and Kimberly Perry shared stories of playing shopping malls, campgrounds and campsites while trying to make it as performers. They also stressed the importance of a strong work ethic and a good support system for those trying to make it in the music business.

The sibling trio also took questions from the students in the audience before serenading them with an acoustic version of their signature hit, “If I Die Young.”
