Curb RecordsWhen he wrote his latest top 10 hit, “I Don’t Dance,” Lee Brice says he knew it was time to start a new record.
“We could’ve come with another single or two off of Hard 2 Love, and the label actually really wanted to,” he recalls, “but I asked them, I said, ‘Guys, I feel like the next step [is] these songs — this next record.’”
Lee says the song took a change in his personal life and carried it through to the music he was making.
“That’s where I was at in my life… I was getting married, having a new young’un. Every part of my life, the joy of my life came from home. So, it just fell out all over a lot of the songs that I was writing,” he says.
You can hear those songs when I Don’t Dance the album comes out September 9.
