The lyrics capture the memory of a carefree group of teenagers setting out on an adventure together.

Eric explains, “I think that’s the most interesting thing about the song is it’s about life, and it’s about freezing life and wishing you could freeze life, and we all wish we could do that. “

Eric has had several experiences like the one he sings about in “Talladega,” and songs like this one always bring those memorable moments back to life for him.

He says, “Really what the best of music, what it does is it transports you back to that time and that place when you wish you could’ve frozen, and in a way you can, because the song does. And it takes you back to when you were that age.”

“Talladega” is the latest single from Eric’s Grammy-nominated album, The Outsiders.
