USD-320Wamego’s USD 320 Board of Education continues to review facilities options.

At Monday’s meeting, BBN Architects’ Carl Riblett went over a revised plan for new locker rooms and concession stands incorporating new handicapped parking and viewing spaces for the school’s sports complex, plus a new raised handicapped viewing platform. The new additions would add another $150,000 to its renovation plan.

In other business, Superintendent Denise O’Dea went over a long list of facilities discussions that took place with the administrators. The group prioritized a non-negotiable list based on concerns from the community. After a discussion, it was decided the logical next step was for the administrators to sit down with the architects and go over the list together. No date was set for this meeting.

The Board unanimously approved the final reading policy updates recommended by the Kansas Association of School Boards.
