
A K-State scholarship student has reportedly been arrested on sex crimes charges this past weekend. Nieko William Javie Giesbrecht, 20, was arrested at 7:53 p.m. on three sex crimes charges including rape, aggravated sexual battery, and breach of privacy. Giesbrecht was given a bond of $250,000, causing him to be confined at the time of this report. More details will be released by Riley County Police later on Monday morning.
Giesbrecht, who currently resides at Putnam Hall on Petticoat Lane, is listed as a Shawnee resident in a K-State news release last year. According to the release, he is a Cargill/Horizon Milling Diversity Scholarship recipient.
