On Thursday, Brad and Kimberly told ABC Radio how people who don’t live in Nashville can lend their support to the project.
“There’s a coupla things. There’s a website called The Store-dot-org, you can go there and they’ll show you some options,” he explains. “It depends on what level you wanna do…we’ll take all the help we can get, especially monetarily.”
One way you can help monetarily is buy participating in The Store’s brick campaign.
“We have a limited number of bricks, so people can buy a brick and they put their name or a message on the brick,” explains Kimberly. “And the brick will be part of paving the way up to the store, so people can be a part of the building, which is exciting.”
Online donations aside, Brad and Kimberly plan to involve the local community as much as possible when it comes to finding volunteer staffers for the store.
The good thing about it, too, is that we’re partnered with Belmont University,” he tells ABC Radio. “So a large portion of the people in there working at any given time are gonna be students learning what I needed to learn when I was in college, and didn’t learn ’til much later!”
