Riley County has hired BBN Architects to manage a possible renovation and expansion of county facilities that could include moving some departments into the former First Christian Church building and a purpose-built judicial center.

The county’s Judicial Center Selection Committee on Thursday chose BBN after reviewing and interviewing five firms: Anderson Knight, Baker-McMillan and BG Consultants.

“Each one of those had a consultant with them that specialized more in the study side of the project,” John Ellermann, the public works director, said. “We selected BBN with their partnership with Fentress.”
