The second and third of 19 alleged victims of former Manhattan chiropractor Clark Petersen testified in Riley County District Court Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning, during the state’s presentation of evidence in a trial against Petersen.

The second victim said she saw Petersen for chiropractic adjustment for around 25 years, and told jurors they had at times discussed spirituality and meditation. She said Petersen was passionate about what he called “energy work” and  meditation, so much so that she at one point asked him to lead a meditation group that met occasionally.

On Aug. 27, 2020, the woman said her appointment with Petersen did not go as usual. She said after he started with his usual “energy work,” entailing both hands on her back and slightly rocking her side to side, Petersen told the woman he was going to do a “root chakra adjustment.”
