Five people were arrested late Friday night on I-70 near mile marker 298 following a traffic stop that led to a drug investigation.

According to the report, the first arrest occurred around 11:41 p.m. when troopers stopped a vehicle in the eastbound lanes for defective headlamps. During the stop, Austyn Nikolus Gallagher, 19, of Manhattan, was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia.

Four additional individuals in the vehicle were arrested approximately four minutes later, at 11:45 p.m., on similar charges:

• Lamya Renee Mebane, 20, of Kansas City, Kansas — possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, interference with a law enforcement officer, and use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia.
• Camarion Dishawn Baker, 18, of Kansas City, Missouri — possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia.
• Ravon Derell Herbert, 18, of Manhattan — possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia.
• Jayla Monae Harris, 21, of Kansas City, Missouri — possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia.
