Four people were transported to the hospital Sunday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash on Fort Riley Boulevard.

Riley County Police say officers responded around 2:44 p.m. Dec. 28 to the area of mile marker 185. A 2009 Nissan Frontier driven by 44-year-old Heather Cunningham of Manhattan and a 2014 Toyota Tundra driven by 62-year-old Stephen Gerard of Manhattan collided.

Cunningham was transported to Via Christi for treatment of her injuries. Gerard and his two passengers — 63-year-old Cheryl Gerard and 6-year-old Dean Gerard, all of Manhattan — were also taken to Via Christi for medical evaluation.

Police cited Gerard for having no child safety restraints and cited Cunningham for unsafe speed for prevailing conditions.
