A Manhattan man was arrested Wednesday afternoon following a drug and DUI investigation on the east side of town.

Riley County Police say officers filed the report around 3:58 p.m. Dec. 31 at the intersection of East Poyntz Avenue and McCall Road. The case involved possession of an opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant; driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol; and interference with a law enforcement officer.

Police arrested 50-year-old Tomas Rios around 4:17 p.m. on all listed charges.

Rios was issued a total bond of $5,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.
