
A Lansing man was arrested Tuesday evening following a reported aggravated burglary in downtown Manhattan.
Riley County Police say officers filed the report around 4:42 p.m. Jan. 13, 2025, in the 1000 block of Poyntz Avenue. A 59-year-old woman reported that a 29-year-old man unknown to her was inside her residence and caused property damage.
Officers later arrested Anthony Ellis, 29, of Lansing, at approximately 5:41 p.m. near the intersection of 12th Street and Poyntz Avenue. Ellis was taken into custody on charges of aggravated burglary and criminal damage to property.
He was issued a total bond of $50,000 and remained confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of the report.
