A Manhattan man was arrested Saturday morning on multiple felony charges, including aggravated kidnapping, according to the Riley County Police Department.

Tyrell Demond Harper, 29, was taken into custody at approximately 9:25 a.m. on Saturday near Applebee’s, located at 100 Manhattan Town Center. Harper was arrested on charges of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated domestic battery, theft of property or services, aggravated intimidation of a witness or victim, criminal damage to property, battery and endangering a child.

According to arrest records, the aggravated domestic battery charge alleges choking a family member or person in a dating relationship in a rude manner. The aggravated intimidation charge involves a witness or victim younger than 18.

Harper was issued a total bond of $75,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
