
One person was killed and another seriously injured Wednesday afternoon in a rollover crash on Interstate 70 in Dickinson County, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 3:47 p.m. May 13 on eastbound I-70 near mile marker 271.5, about 1.1 miles west of Fair Road. Investigators said a 2023 Honda CR-V was traveling eastbound when, it veered off the roadway, struck an embankment and rolled multiple times before coming to rest upright facing northeast.
The driver, identified as 85-year-old Robert W. Huff of Clarksburg, West Virginia, sustained suspected serious injuries and was transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
The passenger, 81-year-old Bonnie K. Huff of Clarksburg, suffered fatal injuries.
The crash report states Robert Huff was wearing a seat belt, while Bonnie Huff was not.
