A Manhattan bicyclist suffered minor injuries Thursday morning after a collision with a vehicle at a city intersection, according to the Riley County Police Department.

Officers responded at approximately 10:45 a.m. June 4 to the intersection of North Juliette Avenue and Leavenworth Street for a reported injury accident. Upon arrival, officers found a 2015 Toyota Prius driven by Zainab Shinwari, 36, of Manhattan, had struck a bicycle ridden by Christopher Korte, 27, of Manhattan.

Korte was transported to Via Christi Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Police said Shinwari was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign.
