Officials with the Riley County Police Department announced an arrest for aggravated assault, aggravated battery, and aggravated robbery along with criminal threat and conspiracy to commit attempted aggravated robbery earlier Monday morning. The arrest was a result of an investigation which began in the 1000 block of N. 8th Street in Manhattan on March 6, 2016 at approximately 5:00 AM.
Police arrested Jacob Sifford, 21, of Manhattan, Kansas for the aforementioned offenses after an incident where a firearm was brandished and police say Andrew Kjellin, 22, of Manhattan became the victim. Police later made contact with Sifford as part of an area canvas.
Sifford was given a bond of $50,000.00 and at the time of this release was no longer confined at the Riley County Jail.
Detectives continue to investigate the matter and as this investigation is ongoing no further information was available to release.
