RCPD report 3/17/16

Riley County Police have released the results of a recent school zone enforcement operation. As previously announced, from February 29th to March 13th Law Enforcement agencies across Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma participated in a traffic safety operation to reduce teen driver related fatal collisions. Police training site possible at Fort Riley

  A partnership between Fort Riley and the Riley County Police Department could be on the horizon. Child pornography arrest in Junction City

A Junction City man faces a total of 34 counts involving child pornography following his arrest Thursday.  Dale Holvorson, 49, was charged with 14 counts of distribution of child pornography and 20 counts of possession of child porn after the Junction City Police Department, with the assistance of the Kansas Internet Crimes Against Children Task

RCPD Report 3/16/16

A traffic stop on Tuesday evening resulted in a drug arrest for Riley County Police. Julious Goodridge, 54, of Manhattan, was pulled over in the 700 block of Allen Rd. at 11 p.m. Upon searching Goodridge’s vehicle, police found various drugs including methamphetamine and marijuana. Wamego commission looks to solve water issues

Manhattan man appears in court after arson charge

After being arrested on arson charges, a Manhattan man appeared in Riley County Court Tuesday. Donnie Hill appeared via webcam for a status hearing, after he was charged with arson and theft of property in February. Hill’s counsel used the appearance to schedule a second hearing with the court, as they continue to gather facts.
