Memorial services announced for K-State professor

A memorial service for Joye Gordon will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 26, at the K-State Alumni Center. Gordon, who died March 7, was a professor of public relations in the A.Q. Miller School of Journalism and Mass Communications. Memorial donations may be sent to The Irvin Parkview Funeral Home, 1317 Poyntz

Emergency response at Manhattan Regional Airport

  Area fire and medical response crews responded to the Manhattan Regional Airport shortly before five p.m. Thursday after an emergency alert went out regarding a potential incident at the airport. Airport Director Jesse Romo indicates an American Airlines flight was inbound for landing and had a warning light come on for a possible hydraulic failure.
