Warner NashvilleBrett Eldredge returns to the top of the country chart this week with “Love Someone,” his first number one since “Wanna Be That Song” peaked in December of 2016.

He marked the occasion on Sunday as he played Tailgate N’ Tallboys in Peoria, in his home state of Illinois.

“I got to celebrate having the number one song in country music on Father’s Day with my dad on stage!” Brett shared on his socials. “Dad, thank you for showing me that I am capable of alllll of this.”

The post also includes a video that shows Brett sitting on the edge of the stage with his dad, who held the mic as Brett played guitar and the crowd sang “Love Someone” at maximum volume.

“I love you…” Brett continues, “and all of my fans and country radio, you are so pure and so damn good to me…you all just go on to prove the words we wrote, ‘it sure feels good to love someone’…and I love you.”

“Love Someone” is the third single from Brett’s self-titled 2017 album, and the follow-up to his platinum-selling #2 hit, “The Long Way.”
