Image Courtesy Warner Music NashvilleBrett Eldredge was honored as one of People magazine’s Ones to Watch at a party in Los Angeles last week, but he admits rubbing shoulders with Hollywood’s elite in-crowd is intimidating.

“You’re never cool enough,” Brett tells People. “You know, it’s like you just keep trying. A lot of people don’t know your name or anything, but it’s all right. You just keep making music and maybe one day everybody will know your name.”

Brett adds that he plans to “keep dreaming” and “having fun” making music. He’s up for New Artist of the Year at the 48th Annual CMA Awards, coming up Wednesday, November 5 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
