The state of Kansas and surrounding region is entering a period of potentially dangerous wildfire conditions thanks to unseasonal warm temperatures and lack of precipitation.

The state is coming off of Kansas Wildfire Awareness Week and has seen a number of burn bans implemented at the beginning of what would be burn season. Kansas Mesonet meteorologist, Chip Redmond explains:
