Arista NashvilleCarrie Underwood has been hard at work writing and recording songs for her new album, but she’s not sure about a release date just yet.

Carrie explains, “I don’t put a stamp on a finish date, because I feel like that kind of is a creativity killer. It’s done when it’s done.”

So far, Carrie says the new project is looking really good. She adds, “Hopefully, it won’t be too long.”

Fans haven’t gone without new Carrie music in the last few weeks, though. Her collaboration with Miranda Lambert, “Somethin’ Bad,” just hit iTunes, along with Carrie’s new patriotic single, “Keep Us Safe.” As for possible collaborations on her next album, Carrie is open to crossing genre lines to duet with a pop star like Shakira.

“I’m up for anything,” Carrie says. “I mean, I’m a lover of music, and I feel like so many people now, they don’t listen to just one kind of music. They’re influenced heavily by so many different kinds of music, and I think that’s awesome.”

You can now download “Somethin’ Bad” and “Keep Us Safe” now at iTunes.
