Carrie Underwood has quite the story to tell. The seven-time Grammy winner’s new album, Storyteller, has debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Album chart, making Carrie the only artist in the chart’s 51-year history to launch her first six albums at #1.
Sony Music notes Storyteller logged “pure” sales in excess of 164 thousand, according to Nielsen Music, as well as 177 thousand equivalent album units — a combination of traditional album sales, streaming equivalent sales, and track equivalent sales.
Storyteller was released October 23 and has already produced the top-five country hit “Smoke Break,” as well as the Sam Hunt duet “Heartbeat” and the most recent release, “Renegade Runaway.” Underwood will perform “Smoke Break” when she co-hosts the CMA Awards this Wednesday with Brad Paisley, live at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC
