A potential Planet Fitness location is among the rezonings Riley County commissioners will vote on during Tuesday’s meeting.

The proposed rezoning is for 4.47 acres north of the intersection of E. Poyntz Avenue and Sarber Lane, from a neighborhood commercial district to a planned unit development for Planet Fitness.

On July 6, the Manhattan Urban Area Planning Board held a public hearing to consider the rezoning. The board recommended approval of the rezoning with a unanimous vote.

The other rezoning commissioners will consider is for the Yuma Street cultural center, rezoning 930 Yuma Street from a low-density residential attached district with an established neighborhood overlay district to a business commercial district.

MUAPB also unanimously endorsed this proposal on July 6.
