Manhattan city crews are replacing manhole cover lids and concrete collars over the next few weeks along Anderson and Bluemont avenues between Harris Avenue and 11th Street.

City officials said the work includes necessary repairs that were unplanned. Work was expected to begin Thursday in the eastbound lanes of Bluemont from North Manhattan Avenue to 11th Street.

The entire project is expected to last about two and a half to three weeks and will result in moderate traffic delays and lane closures, that may lead to alternate routes with detour signage.

Officials advised motorists to use caution and slow down when in the area.
